Our Projects

LREPlus develops and implements research-based projects that aim to enhance language learning and teaching through innovative, practical, and scalable solutions. Each project is grounded in scientific research and designed to address real-world educational needs.

Our projects focus on key areas such as early language education, teacher development, digital and AI-supported learning environments, and curriculum and material innovation. By integrating academic knowledge with technological advancements, LREPlus creates impactful solutions that improve learning outcomes and instructional practices.

Through collaboration with educators, institutions, and stakeholders, LREPlus ensures that its projects are relevant, sustainable, and adaptable to diverse educational contexts. These initiatives reflect our commitment to advancing language education through evidence-based and future-oriented approaches.

Positive English for Kids

The Positive English for Kids Project is an innovative research and development initiative designed to transform preschool English language education by integrating positive psychology principles. The project introduces a holistic teaching model that supports not only children’s language development but also their emotional, social, and cognitive growth.

At the core of the project is a comprehensive curriculum and material set grounded in the Positive Language Learning approach. This includes a teacher’s guide, student activity book, and audio-visual materials designed to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences. Learning activities are built around games, stories, songs, and interactive classroom practices, fostering positive attitudes, confidence, and a sense of meaning in young learners.

The project offers a unique pedagogical contribution by positioning technology as a supportive tool for teachers rather than a direct learning medium for children. This ensures a human-centered learning environment where interaction, guidance, and engagement remain at the forefront of the educational process.

Positive English for Kids addresses a critical gap in early childhood language education by incorporating emotional and psychological dimensions into curriculum design. Through a rigorous R&D process, including needs analysis, prototype development, and pilot implementation, the project ensures that all materials and approaches are scientifically validated and pedagogically effective.

Beyond its educational value, the project also presents strong economic and strategic potential. It aims to develop a locally produced, culturally responsive alternative to imported materials while reducing costs, enhancing quality, and promoting sustainable educational practices. With its scalable model, the project targets both national and international markets, positioning itself as a pioneering brand in preschool English education.

As the first positive psychology–based preschool English teaching model in Türkiye, Positive English for Kids represents a transformative step toward more meaningful, effective, and holistic language learning. It is designed not only to teach a language but also to nurture well-being, motivation, and lifelong learning in young learners.

Grammar through Reading

Grammar through Reading is an innovative educational series designed to transform how learners experience grammar instruction. Grounded in contemporary language teaching principles, the project addresses a common challenge in language education: the perception of grammar as abstract, isolated, and difficult to apply in real communication.

Unlike traditional approaches that rely heavily on explicit rule presentation and mechanical exercises, the Grammar through Reading series adopts a contextualized and learner-centered methodology. Each level introduces essential English grammar structures through short, carefully designed reading texts that reflect everyday situations and meaningful contexts. In this way, grammar is not taught as a set of disconnected rules, but as a functional system embedded in real language use.

The series is fully aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and covers all proficiency levels:

  • Grammar through Reading A1

  • Grammar through Reading A2

  • Grammar through Reading B1

  • Grammar through Reading B2

  • Grammar through Reading C1

  • Grammar through Reading C2

Each level provides linguistically controlled input appropriate to learners’ proficiency, ensuring accessibility while supporting gradual development. Vocabulary and sentence structures are carefully selected, and key patterns are reinforced through repetition, enabling learners to build both grammatical awareness and reading comprehension simultaneously.

The project is based on an inductive learning model that encourages learners to observe, recognize, and internalize grammatical patterns through reading. Structured tasks following each text support comprehension, vocabulary development, and grammar practice, fostering active engagement and deeper understanding.

Designed for flexibility, the Grammar through Reading series can be used in a wide range of educational contexts, including classroom instruction, supplementary programs, grammar support courses, and self-study environments. It offers teachers a practical, adaptable resource while empowering learners to take an active role in their language development.

By integrating grammar instruction with meaningful reading practice across all CEFR levels, the Grammar through Reading series provides a comprehensive, research-informed, and effective solution for language learning.
